These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thompsoninsuranceagency.co (the "Site"), operated by Thompson Insurance Agency ("we," "us," or "our"), 2108 Milestone Drive, Suite 210, Fort Collins, CO 80525. By using the Site, or by requesting a quote or contacting us through it, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site
The Site gives general information about the insurance products we offer and lets you request a quote or contact our agency. We are licensed to sell insurance in Colorado and Wyoming. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation to buy, insurance in any state where we are not licensed. Products, coverages, discounts and eligibility vary by state and are not available everywhere.
2. No Coverage Until It Is Confirmed
Submitting a quote request, form, email, voicemail, or text message does not create, change, or cancel insurance coverage. Coverage is not in force until the application has been accepted by the insurance company that issues the policy and you have received written confirmation from us or from that company. Do not use the Site's forms to bind, change, or cancel a policy, or for anything time-sensitive; call us at (970) 482-5100 during business hours.
3. Quotes and Coverage Information
Any quote, premium, savings figure, or rate discussed on the Site or in response to a request is an estimate based on the information you provide and is not a binding offer of coverage. Final eligibility, coverage, premium, and terms are determined by the issuing insurance company's underwriting and may differ from an estimate.
Descriptions of coverages, discounts, and products on the Site are general summaries for information only. They do not change or add to any policy. Your policy contract, including its declarations, conditions, limits, and exclusions, is the only document that determines what is and is not covered. Please read your policy and ask us about anything you are unsure of.
4. Not Legal, Tax, or Financial Advice
Articles, guides, and other content on the Site are general information, not legal, tax, financial, or individualized insurance advice, and may not reflect the most current laws or products. Coverage needs depend on your circumstances. Talk with one of our licensed agents about your situation, and consult an attorney, tax advisor, or financial professional where appropriate.
5. Claims
The Site is not a way to report a claim. To report a claim, use the claims contact information in your policy documents, or call our office and we will help you. If anyone is hurt or in danger, call 911 first.
6. Information You Provide
You agree that information you give us through the Site is accurate, complete, and your own (or that you are authorized to share it). Insurance companies rely on that information. Inaccurate or incomplete information can change a quote and, under the terms of a policy, may affect coverage or a claim. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, payment card numbers, or medical information through the Site's forms; we will collect what is needed securely when we prepare your quote.
7. Communications
By submitting a request through the Site or giving us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about your request and your insurance by phone call, text message, or email, including by automated means where the law allows. This consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You may also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. We do not share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- submit false or fraudulent information, or request quotes in someone else's name without their permission;
- send spam, malware, or harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or any connected system;
- interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by overloading it or by scraping or copying it with automated tools, other than search engines indexing it for public search;
- harass, threaten, or abuse our staff or anyone else.
We may restrict or end access to the Site, or decline any request, at our discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and design, are owned by or licensed to Thompson Insurance Agency and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Awards, badges, and other third-party names or marks shown on the Site belong to their respective owners. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ITS CONTENT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THOMPSON INSURANCE AGENCY AND ITS OWNERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
This section applies to the Site only. It does not limit any right you have under an insurance policy, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Thompson Insurance Agency and its owners, agents, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any claim that is not resolved informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Larimer County, Colorado, and you and we consent to their personal jurisdiction and venue. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court. To the extent permitted by law, claims must be brought individually and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding, and any claim related to the Site must be filed within one (1) year after it arises. Disputes about an insurance policy itself are governed by that policy and applicable insurance law, not by this section.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Changes take effect when posted and apply to use of the Site after that date. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
16. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. Insurance policies and applications are separate agreements.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent possible and the rest will remain in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, including as part of a sale or reorganization of our agency.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, utility or internet outages, or acts of government.
